GCMHP
has conducted on Sunday, September 8, 2024, a practical training day in ‘Psychological
First Aid’ in cooperation with the Protection Cluster.
Fifteen participants, with different specializations, working in protection NGOs, attended the 5-hour training.
This training comes as part of the GCMHP’s ongoing efforts to support the humanitarian work sectors and enable them to provide their services in a way that observes the human rights approach and psychological safety for beneficiaries. The training aimed to provide participants with the following information, skills and concepts:
knowledge of the basic principles and skills of applying psychological first aid; the ability to provide support in a responsible manner and without doing harm, or violating human rights principles. The training also focused on the practical skills of providing PFA.
