Launching the third phase of the project "A Supportive Environment for a Better Future - Integrating Mental Health Services in Early Childhood"

Preparing for the third phase of Project "Supportive Environment for a Better Future - Integrating Mental Health Services in Early Childhood", the teamwork of project held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 a meeting with 10 kindergarten representatives in the Gaza Strip whom they worked with during the previous phase.

During the meeting the team discussed with the KG representatives the work process of the new phase which is scheduled to continue from August 1, 2023 to July 2024.they also discussed the project objectives, the target group, and the most prominent achievements and challenges of the previous stage. They also reviewed the work plan and the most important activities and interventions that are to be implemented during the new stage of the project. These interventions include: field visits by MH workers to kindergartens to provide professional support for children, parents and caregivers; open days for kindergarten children; a recreational day for KG caregivers; distribution of school bags to KG children.

Providing kindergartens with tablet computers as well as providing these KGs with internet connection on a monthly basis.

A set of recommendations were also drafted during the meeting to be considered during the implementation phase.
