OHCHR Delegation Visits GCMHP To Arrange Cooperation

A delegation from the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Gaza Strip has visited Gaza Community Mental Health programme with the aim of discussing ways of cooperation.

Representing the OHCHR, Ms Yu Kanosue, Director of Gaza Office, attended the meeting via video-conferencing, in addition to Mr Saber Al-Neirab and Ms Rasha Abu Shaaban, Human Rights officers, who were present in person, while Dr Yasser Abu Jamei, Director General, and Mr Qusai Abu Odei, Director of External Relations Department, presented GCMHP.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr Abu Jamei provided a presentation on the services and activities of the organization, including those related to specialized psychotherapy, counselling, capacity building and awareness promotion. He also offered cooperation and support in these fields, reiterating the mutual history of cooperation between GCMHP and OHCHR.

On their part, the delegation expressed their happiness to cooperate with GCMHP, citing successful previous experiences.
