In promotion
of human rights in the Palestinian society, Gaza Community Mental Health
Programme has recently finalized a training course on the concepts of mental
health and human rights, targeting law enforcement personnel from the Ministry
of Interior.
The training, delivered by a group of GCMHP specialists, was attended by 12 female and male employees, and it focused on basic ‘concepts in mental health and human rights’, and ‘the most common mental disorders among children and adolescents’.
The closing session of the training was attended by the trainers and representatives from the MoI as well as the head of the Training and Capacity Building unit, Ms Inas Jodeh.
GCMHP consistently provides such trainings for the civil society organizations in order to promote the principles of human rights and protect the wellbeing of the population.
