Gaza Community Mental Health Programme started on Sunday, November 7, 2021, a series of recreational days, which target 200 paramedics as part of the ‘Professional Supervision and Stress Management’ programme.
The programme is being conducted within the framework of Project: “Provision of Specialized Mental Health Services to Boys, Girls, Women And Men with and without Disabilities Affected by the Ongoing Crises In the Gaza Strip”.
The recreational days, organized on cooperation with the Department Ambulance and Emergency Services of the Ministry of Health, were implemented at Champions Family Club, where a variety of entertainment and sports activities took place.
60 paramedics participated in the first recreational day, and 51 attended the second day.
Two out of the 6 recreational days have been conducted so far, and the rest are scheduled to take place over December 2021 and January 2022.
The project, funded by oPt Humanitarian Fund of United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), was launched on 24 July 2021 and will be concluded on January 2022.
