A delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross has visited
on Monday, June 14, 2021 Gaza Community Mental Health Programme with aim of being
introduced to the organisation’s work agenda of crisis intervention in
aftermath of the 11-day offensive against the Gaza Strip.
The delegation which included Myriam Ortiz, director of mental health unit at ICRC; Ms Ghada Musad, and Ms Nedaa Zaem was received by the director general of GCMHP, who briefed them on the mental health state of Gaza population and the efforts made to provide interventions, especially after the Israeli offensive against the Gaza Strip which was launched at the time the community was combating a vicious new wave of covid-19.
The two sides have agreed on arranging further meetings to organize the mechanisms of coordinated interventions.
