High-Ranking Delegation From Norwegian Representative Office To the PA Visits GCMHP

A high-ranking diplomatic delegation visited on Sunday, June 6, 2021 Gaza Community Mental Health Programme to show support and solidarity for the Palestinian people in general and the staff members in particular.

The delegation which included the Norwegian Representative Ms. Torunn Viste, and First Secretary Mr. Sigbjørn Litland, was received by the General Director, Dr Yasser Abu Jamei; the Deputy Director, Dr Taysir Diab, and Director of Training and Scientific Research, Ms Rawya Hamam, as well as other professionals.

Over their meeting, the administrative and professional staff members shared their personal and professional experiences during and after the Israeli offensive which continued for 11 days, explaining how they have been struggling to provide psychological support and specialized intervention for Gaza population, especially the vulnerable people, under a multiple crisis situation that started with a sharp surge in Covid-19  cases, and then the Israeli offensive.

At the end of the visit, the delegation reiterated their support for GCMHP ‘s efforts in supporting the wellbeing and mental health state of Gaza population.
