To evaluate the impact of the Interventions made as part of project ‘Provision of Specialized Mental Health and Free Telephone Counseling (HL) Services to Women, Men, Boys and Girls Affected by Violence in the Great March of Return at Gaza Strip’, a delegation from oPt-HF visited Gaza Community Mental Health Programme.
The delegation which included Mr Mahdi Jarbooa, M&E officer; and Mr Saed Al-Madhoon, Protection Cluster Officer was received by Mr Qusai Abu Odei, Director of External Relations and Resource Development Department; Ms Aisha Al-Basyouni, Head of Projects Unit; and Dr Doa Abu Zarqa, Psychiatrist, who briefed them about the interventions provided for the cases, the challenges faced during the work process and the referral mechanism used.
During the visit, the delegation conducted individual interviews with a sample of the project beneficiaries which included children and adults from both genders.
The services provided were also evaluated through interviews with the staff members working in the project.
At the end of the visit the delegation expressed their great satisfaction and appreciation for efforts done.
