Gaza Community Mental Health Programme Finalized a a Training Course  entitled “Psychological First Aid”

As part of GCMHP’s preparedness activity for emergencies, the Training and Research Department of GCMHP concluded a training entitled “Psychological First Aid” with the participation of 12 “YES” Program graduates from the “AMIDEAST” in Gaza. The training aimed at building the participants’ capacities in the Psychological first aid.

The two-day training, with a total of 10 training hours, aimed at building the participants’ capacities in the Psychological first aid.

Moreover, Ms. Hamam welcomed the participants and appreciated their motivation in acquainting knowledge and skills in this field. On their turn, the participants would exchange and spread the knowledge and skills they gained from this training among their colleagues.

Further, the trainees expressed their satisfaction of the acquainted knowledge, stressing that they gained an excellent scientific and practical experience from this training. They praised the significant of this training, requesting GCMHP to conduct more mental health trainings, which helps to increase their awareness and provide them with the needed skills.

At the end, Ms. Hamam and Ms. Herbawi distributed the certificates and training materials on the participants.
