A delegation from the Norwegian Representative Office visits the GCMHP

A delegation from the Norwegian Representative Office recently visited the Gaza Community Mental Health Program, consisting of Ms. Gro Haselikenebe, Ms. Julie Groduel, and Mr. Skegeron Litland, where they met with Dr. Yasser Abu Jamei, General Director of the Programme, and Mr. Qusai Abu Odeh, Director of External Relations and Resources Development Department, to identify the psychological situation in the Gaza Strip, at GMHPS’s headquarters in Gaza.
Dr. Abu Jamei reviewed the difficult political, economic and social conditions of the people of the Gaza Strip and pointed out the services provided by the program, which include therapeutic services, training and scientific research as well as free telephone counselling service. He also, discussed the strategic plan implemented by the program during the next three years, and the most important objectives that the program works to achieve during these years.
During the visit, the delegation took a tour of the Gaza Community Center to learn about the different units and sections within the center, as well as to identify the services and methods of therapeutic intervention used by the program to the Palestinian community in its various categories.
