Gaza Community Mental
Health Programme has finalized two training
courses on "Mental Health Human Rights and Stress Management" targeting
43 policemen working in the security services in Rafah Governorate.
The courses, each of which lasted three days, with 15 training hours, were provided by Dr Emad Abed and Dr Behzad al-Akhras, as well as Mr Hassan Ziyadah, Mr Ismail Ahmed and Mr Osama FarinaMental Health specialists.
The aim of these courses was to introduce the participants to the concepts of mental health and human rights.
Brigadier General Mahmoud Hussein, representing the participants, thanked GCMHP for its effort for supporting mental health in the Gaza Strip.
At closing session, certificates and training
materials were distributed to the police officers who attended the training
courses.
