To Enhance Capacities of Partners In Services Provision, GCMHP Provides Training On Mental Health Disorders and Referral System

The Training and Scientific Research Department of Gaza Community Mental Health Programme organized on December 19/20, 2022, a training course on ‘Most Common Psychological disorders’ in cooperation with SOS Children’s Villages – the Gaza Strip, and Fares Al Arab Charity. The course was attended by 22 professionals in the field of Psychosocial services from the two organizations.

The course covered a number of topics, including: introduction to the referral program of GCMHP; most common psychological disorders in adults; GCMHP’s referral criteria for adults; most common psychological disorders among children and the referral criteria.

The training course also included two pre/post evaluation.

The training comes as part of GCMHP to enhance the capacities of partner organizations in the field of providing community health services and contribute to improving the psychological well-being of the residents of the Gaza Strip.
