Delegation from the American Organization ‘WILL’ Visits GCMHP

A delegation from Women's Imaging and Leadership Lab (WILL), visted on Wednesday, October 13 Gaza Community Mental Health Programme with the aim of discussing ways of building upon their recent cooperation in organizing the First International Breast Cancer Conference, held earlier last week.

The delegation included Dr Rola Shaheen, Ms Farah Abu Qassem and Ms  Hanan Awwad, who met with Dr Yasser Abu Jamei, Director General of GCMHP to reflect on the results and achievements of the conference and discuss ways of future cooperation.  

Dr Abu Jamei explained the services and types of interventions provided by GCMHP and the role it plays in protecting the mental health state of the Palestinian community, and how this role intersect with other sectors, reiterating GCMHP’s efforts in networking and cooperation with other mental health and human rights actors in the community.   

The delegation was taken in a tour inside GCMHP headquarters to be introduced the work mechanisms the types of services provided.
