Gaza Community Mental Health Programme has signed a three-year partnership agreement with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) within the framework of supporting the the strategic plan (2022-2024), which is designed to achieve a set of strategic objectives, including: Contributing to improving the mental health situation of the population in the Gaza Strip; Contributing to the development of the mental health and psychosocial support sector; consolidating human rights-based practices; and reducing violence and enhancing community resilience.
The Swiss Agency has played a prominent role in supporting mental health sector and victims of human rights violations in the Gaza Strip through Gaza Community Mental Health Programme over many years. It has also played a pivotal role in maintaining linkage and communication with the Consortium of Donors which includes the Swedish Consulate General in Jerusalem and the Norwegian Representative Office to the Palestinian Authority.
