In cooperation with the UNRWA Relief and Social Services Programme, Gaza
Community Mental Health Programme, has held on 3 and 4 July two training
sessions on ‘Stress Management and Self-Care’.
The sessions, opened by both Ms Enas Judeh, head of Capacity Building Unit, and Ms Madeleine Hassanein from UNRWA, were attended by 21 professional and administrative staff members from UNRWA Social Service Programme.
The two training sessions, 6 hours each, included warm-up activities and stress relief exercises, an introduction about the concept of psychological stress, and techniques of dealing with it as well as its sources and triggers. In addition the concept of self-care and its impact on the one’s quality life was explained.
At the end of the training, the participants expressed their satisfaction with the concepts and techniques. They also discussed how to share such an experience with other colleagues considering the value it would add to their personal and professional lives.
