WHO Gender Assessment Officer Visits GCMHP for Sharing Gender Mainstreaming Experiences

Officer of Gender Assessment in the Health Cluster of the World Health Organization in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, Mrs  Khademaz Yurita has visited on Wednesday, 29 June, 2022 Gaza Community Mental Health Programme to discuss the possibility of sharing GCMHP’s experience in integrating gender issues in its policies and intervention programs with members of the Protection Cluster at the health and community organizations in the Gaza Strip.

Ms Yurita met with Qusai Abu Odei, Director of Externmal Rewlations Departmet, and Ms Aisha Basyouni, Head of Project Unit, who briefed Ms Yurita on the gender mainstreaming polices followed by GCMHP and the way they are integrated in all activities and interventions.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Abu Odeh expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the World Health Organization and those in charge of the health cluster for their interest in having this important aspect of the GCMHP’s work shared with others, and welcomed the idea of promoting the exchange of success stories associated with this practice.
