GCMHP Director General Participates in Dialogue Session on Socioeconomic State In Gaza

Dr Yasser Abu Jamei, Director General of Gaza Community Mental Health Programme, contributed on 23 may, 2022 to the dialogue meeting “Social and Economic Rights between Theory and Practice” organized by Pal-Think Academy for Democracy and Human Rights.

Dr Abu Jamei discussed during his participation the importance of the existence of the elements of social rights in the Palestinian society, as they enhance mental health. He also explained that the existence of hope is crucial to self-recognition and social productivity.

“The absence of social rights is  a main cause for the suffering of the Palestinian society, especially among youths, who represent the glimmer of hope and the future change,” Abu Jamei said.

The dialogue addressed social and economic themes and their impact of the situation in Gaza.
