Gaza Community Mental Health Programme has started on May 22, 2022 a training course on the ‘Concepts in Mental Health, detection and Referral’.
The training course is the first of a series of trainings organized as part of project: ‘Respect and protection of the rights to mental health for women, men, girls and boys with and without disabilities victims/survivors of human rights violations in the Gaza Strip’, funded by EU.
A group of professionals from GCMHP’s partner community organizations were enrolled in the training which aims to provide participants with information about mental health and the stigma of mental illness; case management and referral mechanisms; Psychological implications of children's drawings; andStress management and self-care.
The course, which lasts for four days, 5 hours a day, was inaugurated by Mr Qusay Abu Odeh, Director of External Relations and Resource Development Department; Ms Enas Judeh, Head of the Training and Capacity Building Unit, and Ms Alaa Al Baba, Project Coordinator.
