GCMHP, PHR And MoH Continue Their MH Capacity Building Activities

Gaza Community Mental Health Programme, in cooperation with Physicians for Human Rights and the Palestinian Ministry of Health - General Department of Mental Health, continues to organize a series of training sessions in the Gaza Strip.

The training sessions have been delivered on Thursday, April 7, 2022 by a group of psychiatrists and experts from inside The Green Line.

The delegation held 4 training sessions, each delivered by an expert specialized in the topic of the training,  targeting a group of professionals and psychologists working in the Palestinian Ministry of Health and GCMHP. The sessions dealt with a number of important psychological topics: (TIR ) Traumatic Event Mitigation Program;  Psychological scales - Wechsler's test;  Psychometrics - Woodcock-Johnson Test; and sexual assaults.

After completing the training sessions that were conducted in different venues, a workshop was held, gathering all the participants in the training sessions.

The workshop carried the title ‘Intervention in Times of Crisis’. 

At the end of this day, GCMHP’s administrative team thanked everyone who participated in the activities which are designed to promote  MH access and quality service to Gaza population.
