Gaza Community Mental Health Programme has finalized on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, a training course in the "Basic Concepts of Mental Health and Human Rights", targeting 25 personnel working in the Central Correction and Rehabilitation Service.
The training which was conducted Deir El-Balah Rehabiliation Centre was also attended by a group of GCMHP psychological specialists.
Earlier last week, the opening session of the training was delivered by Mr Hasan Ziyada, a senior psychologist at GCMHP, who provided an introduction about GCMHP goals and its services and multi-level interventions.
The training addressed a number of themes that included ‘basic concepts in mental health and human rights’, ‘violence and its repercussions’, ‘the concept of anger and its psychological and social repercussions’, ‘anger management mechanisms’, ‘case detection and referral mechanisms’.
The training sessions were held lasted for 3 days, with 12 training hours.
